The Lagos state government has recorded new COVID-19 related deaths.
This was made known by the state Commissioner for Health Professor, Akin Abayomi, on his twitter handle.
The State which did not record fresh cases on Monday, March 20, noted there were related deaths from coronavirus but did not state the number of death.
However, from the previous break down which showed total death at 14 and the current break down with 16 death shows the state record two more death.
According to the tweet, one of the deceased was a 45- year old Nigerian man who returned from India in January.
“#COVID19Lagos Update. No new case of #COVID19 was confirmed in Lagos on 20th April, 2020.
“However, #COVID19 related deaths were recorded in Lagos. One of the deceased was a 45 years old Nigerian male who returned from India in January, 2020.”
