The Falconets’ Head Coach, Christopher Danjuma, has invited 25 players to camp to start preparations for the women’s football tournament of the 12th African Games in Morocco.
Ademola Olajire, Director of Communications at the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), said in a statement on Friday that the players list has Chiamaka Nnadozie and Chidinma Okeke.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that both Nnadozie and Okeke stood out for the senior national female team, at the 8th FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in France.
The Falcons players are joining the national under-20 team which also has Efih Peace, Gift Monday, Folashade Ijamilusi, Rafiat Sule and Cynthia Aku.
The countries in the women’s football tournament are those who were at the 11th African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Ghana last year.
The only difference is that hosts Ghana are now replaced by host nation Morocco.
Olajire said all invited players are expected to report in Abuja on Sunday, along with their international passports, birth certificates and training kits.
The Games in Rabat is scheduled for Aug. 19 to Aug. 31.
