Few hours to his swearing-in for second tenure,the Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru has dissolved the state secretary to the government, commissioners and all other political appointees.
The outgoing commissioner of information,youth, sports and culture Alhaji Bala Ibrahim announced the dissolution on Tuesday, while briefing newsmen yesterday shortly after the validatory council meeting held yesterday at government house in Dutse, the state capital.
He explained that “as of today 28th May, 2019 equivalent to 23rd of Ramadan, 1440, the executive governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru has dissolved the executive council of the state.
“The state governor also have lifted all the political appointees including the secretary to the state government, all commissioners, Special Advisors, special assistants, chairmen and board council of all agencies and parastatals in the state with immediate effect” he said.
According to him, the commissioners are directed to hand over all affairs of their ministries to their respective permanent secretaries.
He then, commended the outgoing SSG, commissioners, advisers, Asistants and all other political appointees for their contribution to the state in last four years.
